Un-quilted quilt back

The busier I am with projects, the less stuff I have to share. You know how that goes, don’t you? My husband and I are in full steam ahead mode getting my new sewing patterns ready and my booth built for Quilt Market next month.

I’ve got instructions written, diagrams drawn, comments back from most of my pattern testers, photography in progress, quilt sent out to be quilted…oh and there is so much more to do. I’ve got checklists and calendars marked and a big mess of fabric, papers and samples in my studio.

booth beginnings

My husband has been wielding power tools in the garage, making supply runs, ordering things and building. The garage space is monopolized by booth panels and building materials, but we are managing around them so far….

I found this note on the hallway door to the garage last week! Navigating bikes out of the garage takes a certain finesse and he wanted to be sure to protect his hard work (and boys!) from any mishaps.

The work is getting done, but the days are blending together. We are trying to make sure we take time to enjoy the fall. Have you noticed the change in the light? The weather has been beautiful over the past week and the excitement is building for things to come!
