Welcome Melissa, who’s back with more felty fall fun. – Betz

Hey all! I’m so excited to be back on Betz White’s blog sharing another project! It’s pretty funny because last time I was here I was sharing a luxurious eye glasses case and saying how I’m always so practical about what I sew and the glasses case was an exception and a treat to myself. And, ah well, now I’m back with another whimsical bunch of stitches for myself. It even has whimsical in the name! Ha! Something about Betz’s amazing patterns make me just want to dive in and have selfish fun.

But, really how could I resist this adorable pattern? (Available here!) With as much sewing as I do and as hard as I work my supplies, they deserve loving places to rest and work.

The Whimsical Woodland Sewing Set Pattern comes with an owl with a perfectly placed pocket to hold my small embroidery scissors.

And (insert drumroll and circus-accouncer voice) the most fantastic holder for a tape measure that was ever invented…a mushroom!! Yep, this scrumptious little guy holds a tape measure just perfectly! Even though my mushroom turned out a wee bit wonky I still squeal with delight every time I see this guy. It’s just so adorable.

Now, truth be told, I’m a beginner when it comes to embroidery and this pattern includes detailed information on stitches and makes it simple to get started. Making it easy for someone like me to brighten up my sewing space.
