This image is the first in a series of postcards I’m working on. I thought it’d be fun to photograph some little still life images to sell at craft fairs. I’ve always been inspired by wee wonderfuls patchwork set of postcards.
This meal is made entirely of felted recycled wool. I still have a way to go before I really perfect my scale, composition, level of detail and photography. For example, I beaded seeds onto the strawberry, but in the end they aren’t even visable in the photo.
I love everyday objects made out of something unexpected. Of course, food has become such a popular item lately to knit, sew, crochet, and sculpt. There is even a whole directory of free FOOD knitting patterns!
My favorite is felted wool… it’s not just for breakfast any more! 🙂

This is absolutely adorable, I love felted food I have even mentioned them in my blog 🙂 lovely postcard, well done!

I just love the breakfast scene! I would have never thought about felting old sweaters – I have been thinking about my stored winter stuff all day – hmmm, which sweater is going into the wash?? Thanks for the inspiration!!
