Well, I’m off! I’ve got a four hour drive ahead of me up to Minneapolis for the weekend. I am teaching two workshops for the Sewing Lounge at the Textile Center.
The workshops are all about using recycled sweaters to make cool stuff. Let’s see…I’ve got my inspiratinal boards, some technique swatches, samples of work and a big ol’ bag of felty sweaters! I hope to bring back lots of photos to share with you next week.
Have a great weekend!
Have a safe trip, Betz!! Wish I could take one of your classes!!!
it’s going to be great. your inspiration boards are verrry inspiring. so sad i won’t be there! have fun.
I love that felty bag! Have a good trip up to Minneapolis and enjoy the teaching. I don’t know how you do it, but I admire your energy and drive. I wish I could join the workshop 🙂 Have a lovely weekend!
Love that bag. Too cute!
I would sooo love to be at your class!! OOOH the things you could show me with a felted sweater, I’m still at making them into bags and not much more. I only drool and covet all your lovelies!!
You are the felting queen!!
Old sweaters are my favorite muse. I can’t wait to see what inspiration you bring back!
i considered buying more felted sweaters while at the thrift store the other day, but they’r enot exactly cheap.. i’m talking 6$ a sweater! how much do you usually spend on them?
oh darn, I’ve been reading your blog for awhile, and it’s so rare that something happens within my general vicinity that I actually have time to go to – I’m actually on spring break and that sounded fun! I just bought a wool sweater to experiment with, so I’ll have to try it without your class:( Maybe next time!
