Wackidoodle…that’s a word I use a lot. Especially lately. Meaning: wonky, topsy-turvy, discombobulated, etc. We are technically “moved in” but by no means are we unpacked or settled.

Take today. I unpacked a moving box in my studio labeled: CASHMERE AND CAKE STANDS. (When I was in my packing frenzy in WI before the move, I was low on bubble-wrap. What better packing material for my refashioned cake stands than my recycled cashmere sweater scraps? Come to think of it, the wool roving was pretty successful padding as well)

Oh yes, things are definitely wacki-doodle. From a crafty-business point of view, things are rockin’! There are my various mentions in some mags out this month. And if all of the mag-love wasn’t enough, last monday my ol’ Martha debut re-ran! The timing has been a bit challenging with the move. Extra traffic on the site with no stock or functioning studio for a good portion of the month left me feeling overwhelmed and unprepared! A bit like arriving at your own surprise party in sweats and no make-up. I’m not complaining…it’s totally all good. Just a little wacki-doodle….

So here I am, I’m back. It’s nice to have this bloggy familiar place to hang out in since my new digs are so, you know…new.

By the way, these little bugaboos are the projects I did for Australian Homespun. I figured most of you people “up-over” (opposite of “down-under”) probably wouldn’t get a look at them on the newsstand. Since they are heading into early spring in Australia, they asked for 3 little garden critters as felty wall hangings. They were really fun to do and the editors were great to work with.

And, hey, if you are new here by way of any of the aforementioned media…WELCOME! I’m glad you’ve come to visit. I now have more stock in the shop and I’m open for business! 🙂
