This is Before Candy. We have a sinister Grim Reaper (Seven and a half is the average age a boy’s costume choice crosses over to “scary”. Last year he was a sweet yellow Pikachu!) and a deranged Mad Scientist. Yes, that is a colander on his head, oh, I mean a crazy mad scientist invention.
This is After Candy. The day after Halloween and the energy that ensues. At least for the kids.
Halloween was good this year. What other time do you have an excuse to knock on each of your neighbors doors whether you know them or not? Being new to the neighborhood I was happy to have a fun night like that. I know the kids enjoyed themselves, too!
Oh boy! Watch him burn all that sugar off! Boys are amazing.
We let our son run in circles around the couch when he’s like that.
Oh how I wish I had a pile of leaves I could jump into right now (some candy would be nice too).
My 7- (8- in 2 wks) crossed over to scary costume world this year too! This year he was a scary vampire, but last year he was a very cute Robin Hood. I never thought about it that way before!
love the colander on the head : )
Fantastic costumes, the mad scientist hat is a very clever idea 🙂 Glad you had a fun Halloween.
Lovely blog/book/talent you have here! 😀
There are leaves EVERYWHERE. I was feeling sad because for a very long time, it wasn’t looking much like fall at ALL. And now, all of a sudden, there are leaf showers all the time! (You know when you’re driving and the leaves come at you like snow?)
Anyhoo, glad to see your kids had fun! I was stuck in art class all night, but my little brother had fun too. 🙂
