Here’s a little peek at that magazine I was looking at last post. I do love Marie Claire Idees!
It’s very french and very girlie…which is not how I would ever describe myself, but the projects and photography are so inspiring. It’s just a favorite of mine. Check out this candelabra. Tea cups and plants and fruit…oh my! On another page is a floor lamp made entirely of tea pots and tea cups stacked one on top of the other…
And Hey, Alicia, look at these fab-oo kitchenware dishtowels. Do you have a french twin? đ If the rest of you haven’t checked out the Posie’s free Pleasant Kitchen Dishtowel patterns, walk..don’t run! (oh wait…I thought I was yelling at the boys. I meant RUN don’t walk…heh)
Hanging beautiful china patterns on the wall is one thing, but these are made of fabric! Sweet! Somehow this whole issue reminds me of a french flea market. I went to one in Paris about 10 years ago for “work”. I just searched it and it’s still there! I’d sure love to go back…
Hope this provided a little perk for your Monday morning. One of my cocoa drinkers was sick all weekend with a fever. Back at school today but I feel as though the phone could ring any minute beckoning me to retrieve him.
In other news, more stuff in the shop today. I had best intentions to provide some new items and some old favorites, but I have been derailed once again! Oh well…I’ll get there eventually.
au revoir!
(update here…I purchased a subscription to the magazine through Amazon…see 2nd link above)
I need to get this magazine. Such fun ideas. The candle oprea thing reminds me of your cake plates with flea market finds project. Great post!
Where did you get that magazine? I’ve been looking and looking and looking…and no luck.
I bought a subscription to Marie Claire Idees through Amazon (see 2nd link in my post)
I love Marie Claire IdĂ©es. I’m itching to get downtown to see if the one store that carries it has this issue in yet.
I just purchased a subscription as well, but it won’t start until the next issue.
Great inspiration from the photos.
And where-o-where can one get that magazine??? I keep looking and it’s nowhere to be found around here.
Joni
Betz, can you find this magazine locally? It looks yummilicious!
Hi Again,
I’m sorry! It’s French! I’m fairly certain that unless you’re in a large city with access to schmancy foreign mags, you won’t find this. That’s why I go Amazon…
Betz
It’s funny because here in France we love your US magazines !!! grass is always more interesting in other gardens, no ? If you need help in translating something I can help maybe -although Marie-Claire idees are very light in their instructions !
Cecile, in France
J’adore ce magazine. Oui, oui!
Those are some great images! I really like the first picture of the candelabra with the tea cups. Thanks for the pictures and links!
Oh my goodness, do I LOVE that teacup candelabra!
I enjoyed meeting you at the F&W booth at CHA and am enjoying your beautiful book! Can’t wait to try some projects.
Have a nice day. : )
I keep searching my local book store for Marie Claire! I bought one in January, now I need another fix. I do love their ideas! I love the photo you posted!
Ohhhh i love it all so much!
Oh my, thanks for sharing.
The ideas are so unique and inspiring, especially love the candelabra and fabric plates -wow! I am jumping off to Amazon now đ
Hello!
This is the first time I looked on your blog! I love it and just wanted to tell you that I absolutely share your passion for the Marie Claire idĂ©es magazine! I especially loved the embroidered flowers in the beginning of the magazine and already used them for my new pyjama đ
Have a great weekend!
Love, Thea
Coralie,
If you read this, please email me about those back issues of Marie Claire! I’d love them!
