Do you know Selvedge magazine? Sooo, wonderful and full of inspiration…it’s all about “textiles in fashion, fine art, interiors travel and shopping”. I got a subscription last Christmas…lucky me! (issue #24 seen here)
Hey, I want to share a fun little flower thingy to do with felt scraps. It’s via dozi design who saw it originally done by Martha. The tutorial is done with paper, but how cute is this with felt?
You guys, I received so many fun comments a few posts ago about “wubbies“, that Linus would be proud. Thanks for sharing your sweet stories. I love the names and I love the desire for the fresh chilled blankie…too cute!
I decided to put a few more baby blankets up in the shop along with some fresh cupcake pincushions. I’ve got my eye on holiday goodies as well, so look for those in the coming months. I’m not doing any holiday craft shows this years, so I plan to focus on filling my etsy shop instead.
I love the little roses! Thanks for liking to the tutorial.
I love it in the felt and the paper! Thanks for sharing:)
Selvedge is what we have all been waiting for; I have just had my first copy, I only wish I had known about it from issue one!
Cool and pretty and easy and quick with paper or felt. Thanks for the felt link, I’m going order some squares for sure.
Those flowers are waaaaay cool!
Thanks for sharing!
Missy
The felt flowers are adorable. Hooray for a subscription to ‘Selvedge magazine’! (it’s scary to think that we are planning for the holidays already)
I love Selvedge magazine – it is as you say just so full of inspiration – even the adverts amaze me!
I also love the little felted flowers!
I just picked up a raspberry sweater to felt tonight. I think the flowers will be so pretty made from it. Thanks for the inspiration.
I bought a raspberry sweater today that I plan on felting tonight. These flowers should be very pretty made from this felt. Thank you for the inspiration.
These are very cute. I am going to try making them out of paper!
Wish me luck!
I jsut received my magazine a few minutes ago, can’t wait to sit down with a cup of tea and devour each page.
Beautiful roses, and I also wanted to compliment you on that beautiful and very cool wool quilt with pockets – great and fun design! 🙂
take care!
like the flowers in felt, really cool…
you had asked me once about Art Licensing and how to get into it…well, check out my blog about my upcoming seminar on Art Licensing that I am giving here in Marblehead, Ma on Saturday, September 20th. That would certainly give you the essentials of Art Licensing and basic information. I have been giving seminars like this at Surtex for over 15 years so I think you will find it very helpful.
Think about it!
best,
carol
Oh, those are beautiful. Such a simple idea but with such stunning results! Really lovely.
