As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not normally a season rusher. BUUUUT, since I finished making a big ol’ stack-o-stockings, I decided I might as well get them in ye old shoppe for the early birds out there. (A few are listed now and I’ll get the rest of them posted by the end of the day)
If you’re of the DIY persuasion, this stocking pattern is available in my book, Warm Fuzzies, which is also available in ye old shoppe. Not sure why I keep calling it that, sounds dorky, no? Anyway, I’ve added a new “holiday” section to said shop so keep an eye on that in the coming months. Besides stockings there’s some holiday cards that will be followed shortly (hopefully!) by some ornaments.
So get this…last night I was flopped on the couch and couldn’t find anything good on TV. I ended up watching a show about that giant family with 17 kids. Can you imagine what their mantle looks like with a row a Christmas stockings hanging on it? Holy smokes, I cannot. Of course there are more impressive things about a family that size besides stockings that I cannot imagine, but that would require an entirely different blog…

OMG, I watched the same show. If you stayed tuned they revealed that they are expecting #18! I have 4 children and love the look of 6 stockings (mom, dad, kids) hanging on our fireplace. With the addition of their new little one, that would make 20! I sure hope they have a huge mantle.

I love how these stockings look lined up along the mantle. You really find some great striped sweaters for felting projects! And the little tassels and embellishments add such a nice touch.
