Wow, well that was a quick little lesson in supply and demand. Thanks for the kit love! I guess I should’ve made up a few more batches of Cupcake Tape Measure and Cup O ‘Joe kits before listing them! Not to worry, I’m on it. You’ll be seeing more in the shop next week as early as Monday!
I took a trek to my LTS (local thrift store) yesterday to restock on felty goodness. I’m about the LAST person that should buy any more wool sweaters to shrink-and-felt, but I hadn’t been since February! That’s when my LTS “merchandised” the floor for the season and swapped out all of my beloved sweaters for capri pants. As evidenced by this yummy felt stackage, I’m happy to report that the floor was repopulated with sweaters. (and that delicious wool scarf…I’m thinking polka dot Cup O’ Joes!)
I also picked up some beautiful wooden hangers for dirt cheap, some jeans for my string-bean son and the most amazing chunk of plastic: the Transformers Optimus Prime Voice Change Helmet! For a mere $1.49 and some fresh batteries, I am the Best. Mommy. Ever.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. Oops! I forgot to mention something. Shannon of the blog Make It interviewed me 2 years ago and has now posted a new Crafter Interview Update this week, if you’re interested…
What do you do with your wooden hangers? Use them as they are….or do you add to their design?
Janice,
Funny you should ask about the hangers. I just got them because we need hangers and they were really nice ones. But when I got home I started eyeballing them for potential….hmmm. 🙂 I’ll let you know if I come up with something.

I adore your latest book! Sooo good. I spent last evening reading it in the bathtub and I just happened upon your blog by chance… Small world!
Well done, Mom! Way to score on that helmet.
Your felted goodness is terrific. You have me now scouring the op shops for woolen jumpers. There is just so much acrylic out there! Found a couple to play with though.
Well done on the kits! They just FLEW! I loved your interview. I was happy for your perspective on book-writing and business.
Great new products! I love the cute cupcake tape measure. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of your new sweater stash.
I guess that is one nice thing about living in the Pacific Northwest, I don’t think they ever truly pack the sweaters away. We generally use them all year around. My favorite finds are striped sweaters. They make the sweetest felt.
My boyfriend has that same helmet!
And I love your blog. Found it about a week ago and am working my way through it. Great ideas and amazing tutorials, thanks!
