Close your eyes. Think of summer camp and bonfires. Imagine a lake surrounded by pine trees under a glorious sky. Picture yourself hanging out with other creative souls with nothing but time, friendship and inspiration all around.
This June 3rd-7th I am lucky enough to participate in the Squam Art Workshops in the gorgeous state of New Hampshire. When I heard about the first SAW artist retreat last September I dropped everything and immediately emailed the organizer of the event. “Pick me!” I said, “I belong.” I have history. My family has been vacationing in that area for generations. I know the magic. It’s in me.
And they picked me. I’ll be teaching my Recycled Felting and MYOB workshops alongside many talented and amazing artists. Won’t you join me? It’ll be like summer camp all over again. Or college, when you took that road trip instead of studying for an exam. Maybe it was against your better judgment, maybe it was the best thing you’ve ever done. Sometimes you gotta go out on a limb.
You have to come, you have to. Be good to you. Feed your creative spirit! And if I haven’t convinced you, feel free to check out the raves and another fab video…
My mil is going to the Squam Workshops… and is in your class! This will be her first summer at Squam and I know that she is REALLY looking forward to it 🙂
Hooray for you! What a fun and rewarding opportunity. Enjoy!
Man, this looks like soooooo much fun!!! Wish I was going- maybe next year…
OOOOOOHHHHHH I want to go, but to far of distance from Minnesota.
Perhaps another year, when the boys are bigger and my proverbial plate is smaller. Looks like a lovely time… and I would certainly love to hang out with you again!
Just found your blog. I love it so far. Would love to go to this! I live in beautiful NH! 🙂
What a pity that is so far from me! I am happy to find your blog. I’m a wet felting artist from Hungary and I love your work.
Best wooly regards
Corinna
