I took a little break from my craft show prep to make a fun little ornament out of my Indian Summer fabric.
This is the Vintage Treasure Ornament by Kayte Terry from the ebook Crafty Tree Trimmings. This week each of the ebook’s contributing designers are making each other’s ornaments. Monday Susan made Diane’s design and Tuesday Patricia made mine!
This was a fast and fun ornament to make. I machine stitched felt stripes onto the floral front and left the stripe print back unembellished. Such a great project for using up those favorite little fabric scraps.
If you’d like to make any of these ornaments, the ebook is available for purchase over at Crafty Pod until December 31 and part of the proceeds go to Project Linus.
Cute ornament!
I love making Christmas ornaments! I am off to buy the book!
Oh I love this! I’ve been trying to come up with simple ideas for neighbor gifts and this is going to be it! I have more fabric than I care to admit, I like that perhaps I can put some of those smaller pieces to good use. Thanks once again for the inspiration!
Your version of Kayte Terry’s vintage bauble is lovely in this fabric.
What I love about this ornament project from “Crafty Tree Trimmings” is that the fabric and trim choices are endless, making each one unique and – as you said, a great way to use up stash. A great inexpensive gift for anyone because most of us already have everything needed make them!
Wow! just wonderful. I really must get going, you have so inspired me. thanks
VERY cute ornament, Betz! Your fabric is on my Christmas list (which I may have to purchase myself)!
I love the ornaments, they are super cute.
