Sometimes after the kids use my camera for their stop-motion animations, I forget to re-do the settings and my photos turn out grainy. Today I decided to go with the grain and play with the “film grain” filter in Photoshop.
I recently finished knitting this sweater by Jane Richmond called the Cozy Bolero. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn. I love this green…it’s kind of a bright pea soup color. The sweater was a fast knit: big needles and big yarn! You know how much I love big fat yarn.
For the button I followed Susan Anderson‘s recommendation and got this beautiful wood button from the shop Wooden Treasures. The great part is that you don’t even need to knit a button hole because the stitches are big enough to push the button through any ol’ place.

it’s gorgeous! wish i knew how to do this.
I love that! I may have to get that pattern.
Sooooo pretty! The grainy effect is dreamy, too.
It is a very nice sweater. I love the color best and the style and button. I guess I love it all.
That is a beautiful sweater — just the thing to lend some cheeriness to still-short and very chilly days.
Love the sweater and am grateful for the button link. I’ve tried to find wooden buttons in town and on line and hadn’t been able to.
Fabulous!! Knitting isn’t my forte though so I will just admire đ
Pretty and chic, Betz! And the sweater is, too (ha!). Thanks for sharing. I’m so inspired!!!!!!! I am chomping at the bit to learn how to knit!
LOVE it!!!
So beautiful. I love that color and the button is perfection!
Ohhh… love it on you… and those grainy pics create the perfect ambience!
So great looking! I have too many knitting projects to tackle… here’s one more.
