How are you all doing? Are you busy? Yes, we are all so busy. Busy, busy busy. Like the bees in my garden. Like these hornets (I think) building their nest. So busy they didn’t even notice me taking their picture…or maybe they didn’t care. They are focused and on a mission.
Sometimes I am so busy business-building that I neglect to stop and notice things around me. Sometimes I am so busy looking around (distracted), that I neglect to focus on my business building!
There’s a lot on my plate this summer, big projects, a little vacation, and two crazy boys to enjoy. I’m going to do my best to give each of those things my attention. How do you balance it all?
This is THE *BIG* question for us mothers, isn’t it?!
Honestly? I don’t balance it all. I figure it matters only that I try my best. And think of it big picture, not on a daily basis.
Good luck yourself!
Balance hahahah! I wish I knew the answer on how to balance everything. I just kind of go with the flow and take it day by day. If I don’t, I realized that I spend too much time trying to figure out how to balance everything than actually doing anything.
The truth is when I realized I couldn’t balance everything and defined the most important things I was relieved and felt more balanced…
Balance, schmalance. I’m not even a mom and I can’t balance anything but a checkbook.
I start my day well before my children do. I’m not a morning person, but waking early, clearing my head, getting a few necessary things done, spending a few quiet moments with myself frees me to enjoy the little things a little more throughout the day. I needed to make that change to find some balance.
Hi Betz,
I haven’t visited you in a while and saw this post on balancing. Looks like you are on your way, by taking a blogging break! Good girl.
Also, those hornets…see that one looking at you? Don’t dally around that nest. Leave it alone and they’ll leave you alone. This winter when it’s freezing cold out and the hornets are gone, you’ll have a cool nest you can hang somewhere for interest. But hornets can be mean, so keep those boys away from it. I’m a beekeeper and know a little bit about hornets, not much, except that they hurt like the dickens when they sting.
My life is way UNbalanced at the moment, but I’m looking forward to the time that will change. We’re building a house. Not having it built..but building it. Talk about creative!
