I finally cast on some new knitting this week. I’ve been in a knitting slump recently, but came across a cute pattern by Jaala via my buddy Susan B Anderson. The pattern is called the Silk Moon Crescent Shawlette. The best part is, I can use yarn from my stash (Helene silk/merino from Schaeffer and Cascade 220), hooray! (and the bag is my Stitch-along Tote made in my Stitch Organic fabric)

I snapped this pic with my phone this morning over coffee…sometime in between son #1 leaving for middle school and son #2 leaving for elementary. A little morning moment of zen after the alarm/breakfast making/lunch packing/dishwasher unloading frenzy but before the last kid out/shower/get to work day!
