This time of year bags of candy corn sneak into my grocery cart. Try as I might to resist it, the stuff follows me home. I do love candy corn.

This year I’ve found a low calorie alternative. My friend Susan Anderson blogged about a pair of stripey candy corn socks she knit with this awesome yarn from Knitterly Things! (at the moment the shop appears to be sold out, hopefully there will be an update soon!)

It’s called Vesper Sock Yarn and it’s really soft and yummy. Almost as yummy as…well, you know. The yarn is self striping…it does all of the color-change work!

Do you think wearing these socks will break me of the candy corn habit? Or will wearing them make me think about candy corn ALL of the times? Hard to say. I better keep knitting to find out!
