Today the second ornament pattern is now available to members of the Holiday Stitch-along Ornament Club!

Whip up a sweet mug of hot chocolate for your holiday tree. The Hot Chocolate Ornament is a three-dimensional felt mug embellished with a beautiful snowflake embroidery and topped with 2 felty marshmallows. So fun to stitch and makes a sweet gift!

The pattern includes a stitch glossary and diagram for creating the snowflake with 4 basic embroidery stitches. And look at those cute mini-marshmallows! They are close to the actual size of real mini-marshmallows, but don’t eat them! 🙂 The mug measures about 2″ tall.

I can see a lot of variations with this one…mugs in different colors, different embroidery and different toppings! I’ll be sure to post a tutorial for options in the coming weeks.

Have you made your Peace Dove yet? Susan (ravelry id: nuts4crafting) shared her beautifully stitched dove (photo above) with her ravelry group that’s doing an ornament swap. Didn’t she do an amazing job? Please email photos of your finished Stitch-along ornaments to me or post them in the Flickr group for show and tell!

Two more mystery ornaments to go! The next ornament pattern in the club will be released in 4 weeks, on Monday November 4th. You may join the club at any time and get all 4 ornaments as they are released by registering here. The individual Hot Chocolate Ornament will be available for non-club members in my pattern shops this Friday, October 11th.
