Last week my husband and oldest son experienced a trip of a lifetime. They spent 10 days backpacking over 75 miles with 40-pound packs at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. That’s my son on top of Mt. Baldy, elevation 12,441 feet!

While they were away I had some quality time with my younger son. We ate ice cream cones and watched movies every night! We took a short trip of our own to Wisconsin to visit friends and reminisce about living there 7 years ago! We enjoyed the lakes, driving through our old neighborhoods, eating at our favorite restaurants, and reconnecting with old friends. Perfection! Now we’re home and I’ve got all my chickens in the nest, so I’m a happy mama. Summer is so good. I hope you’re enjoying yours!
