My newest Craftsy online class has launched: Sew Better Bags: The Weekend Duffel!
Learn all about constructing beautiful duffle bags customized with fabric and features for traveling in style. In Sew Better Bags: The Weekend Duffel, I’ll show you how to sew professional looking travel bags with great details including exterior pockets with hardware closures, zippered and divided interior pockets, fully enclosed seams and eye-catching fabric accents.
Along the way I’ll give you plenty of options for customizing your bag from fabrics to hardware closures to pocket details and even overall size of the bag. Taking an online class is a great way to tackle a project that might be a leeetle bit out of your comfort zone because we’re essentially making the bag together. You can rewind the video, ask me questions, take a break…whatever your learning style is, Craftsy classes accommodate you.
The class is now live on the Craftsy website with a special “launch week” discount, so sign up now!
I love this bag – I’ve grabbed the course and the kit to make the bag then realised the kit doesn’t include the hardware for the bag, and I was kinda hoping that you could make a hardware kit on etsy for this specific bag, I saw you have the hardware kit for another one of your bags which has similar ingredients but slightly different. I understand not including the zippers, but the rings and snap hooks and the twist locks?
Any chance of this happening? 🙂
Thank you for making this wonderful course 🙂
Thanks, Liz! I hadn’t intended to offer hardware kits but I will look into it and let you know!
Please do! Thank you Betz 🙂
What is the finished size of this bag?
One looks larger than the other. They both look really nice too.
Where would I purchase the hardware? M
There are 2 sizes, Regular (linen) 19¼” x 10¼” x 8¼”and Long (corduroy) 23¼” x 10¼” x 8¼”. I buy my hardware on Etsy. I like the shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/PurseSuppliesRUs
I loved your class! Youre a great teacher and it is a privilege to be able to watch such a great class all the way from Brazil. I´l be posting pictures soon.
Wonderful! Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see your photos!
