It’s time for a virtual “highlight reel” of the 2015 Betz White Sewing Collective! This is Part 1 of a round up of all of the great projects made last year by my awesome Sewing Collective Team! I took a moment to ask each contributor what their plans are for the new year.

Veronica - Sewing Collective

Veronica of SewVery, above, knocked it out of the park with some amazing bags and an eye for adding great pops of color! What’s in store from Veronica for 2016?

“I’m planning to upgrade my blog with a fresh, new feel. I’ll to continue post pattern reviews as well as share sewing tutorials and tips and possibly publishing some new patterns for sale. I am also continuing to write for the Craftsy blog and am a contributor to the Melly Sews blog for Blank Slate Patterns. Recently, my Grocery Cart and Stroller Organizer project was published in the new book, “On the Go Bags” by Lindsay Conner and Janelle MacKay, and I will be traveling to Spring Quilt Market to help promote the book’s release.” So exciting, Veronica!

Sara - Sewing Collective

Sara of Radiant Home Studio, above, gave all of her projects a great boho look with linen, hand stitching and bits of leather. Dreamy! What can we expect from Sara this year?

“I’m still working out my plans, but I’m planning to release more patterns (bags and home items) and publish an e-book including my tote bag upgrade posts with some bonus material.” Ooh, I can’t wait!

Rebekah - Sewing Collective

Rebekah of The Little Red Thread, above, really enjoyed giving the projects a twist with her own modifications. What other acts of creativity will we see from her in the future?

“My big goal is to start and complete one or two small quilt patterns and have those up for sale by the end of the year.  I’m also excited to begin work on a personal project involving book themed quilts inspired by some of my favorite reads as well as finally sewing a quilt just for myself!  I hope to accomplish all that on top of another year of gardening, canning and preserving adventures, Renaissance costume making, a long over due family vacation and another half-marathon!” Phew! Good thing you are young and full of energy, Rebekah!

Stacy - Sewing Collective

Last but not least, Stacy of Stacysews, above, knows how to have fun with her fabric choices! (Readers loved her Wonder Woman tablet case!) What’s on Stacy’s plate going forward?

“I have a few articles that will appear in upcoming issues of Sew News and Creative Machine Embroidery (my collar project is currently on the cover of the Jan\Feb issue of CME).  I’ll also be contributing to Bernina’s WeAllSew website. I plan on continuing sewing for friends and family (and a bit of ‘selfish sewing’ for myself) and blogging about it all!” Wow, you really are like Wonder Woman. 🙂

My heartfelt thanks goes out to each of the women that contributed to the collective this past year!

Stay tuned for Part 2 of the Sewing Collective Round-up when we’ll hear from the rest of the team.
