In Cupcake Party, Give-away

As part of this month’s Cupcake Party and 10 year blogiversary celebration, I’m doing weekly giveaways!

felt projects betz white

As you probably well know, felted wool sweaters and wool felt are the materials I was using when I started craft blogging and I continue to use them. Recently I’ve been experimenting with something I’m calling “felt weaving” using wool blend felt. I also use it for reverse appliqué, because there’s nothing like felt for being able to cut crisp raw edges that don’t fray!

feltstack

For this week’s give-away, I have a stack of beautiful wool blend felt supplied by National Non-wovens. There are 6 fat quarters in their new “Once Upon a Time” color palette. Pretty cupcake-y looking, aren’t they?

TO ENTER: Comment below (before 12am US EST Sunday May 15th) telling me your favorite kind of projects to make with felt. Appliqué? Ornaments? Coasters? I will randomly choose 1 winner to receive this stack of delicious felt. Be sure to leave your email address so I can contact you if you win!

Good luck and have a great weekend!

I just made 120 big red roses for our elementary school library. I found some vintage felt at our senior center’s craft supply thrift store. It’s an Incredibly rich red, maybe part wool. I did the cutting and gluing. Kids visiting the library rolled the roses with me. Now they are all over the library, waiting to welcome families for back to school night. They are fabulous and the kids are so proud.
