Thank you for all of your enthusiasm over my new fabric collection, Entomologie! Many of you have pre-ordered kits and I’m happy to say that they have all shipped out today! (I managed to assemble just a couple of extras, so if you missed out you may be able to grab one in my shop!)

Entomologie SAL materials

Since you’ll likely be receiving your kits soon I wanted to post the schedule for the free appliqué stitch-along I’ll be hosting here on the blog. Whether you purchased a kit or not, I hope you’ll join us! The pattern for 3 of the bugs (The original Summer Flies By Banner) is available in my shop. (The bonus beetle is exclusive to kit buyers, only) During the stitch-along I’ll post my progress as well as tips and techniques along the way.

Entomologie Stitch-along Schedule:

6/11: Kick off! Gather tools and materials. Print templates

6/13: Trace and cut appliqué pieces. Glue basting

6/15: Start stitching! 1st video tutorial

6/18: Keep stitching! 2nd video tutorial

6/20: More stitching! 3rd video tutorial

6/22: Finish up, create hoop backing.

As you can see, I’m keeping the schedule pretty loose but essentially the stitch-along will last 2 weeks. You can post your progress in the School of Wool Facebook group or on Instagram with the hashtag #entomologiestitchalong. You can also email me a finished photo at [email protected]. Anyone that shares a finished photo any of the bug hoops by July 15th has a chance to win some goodies!

This is going to be fun!
