Today’s the first pattern reveal of the 2018 Holiday Stitch-along Ornament Club! Members, check your inboxes for an email with a download link to your updated file!
There’s kind of a Beetle Mania thing happening at the moment. Ever since I designed my bug embroideries for the Entomologie fabric collection, people have been huge beetle fans! So who am I to deny the bug love?
This quirky little bugaboo is a snap to make with felt, floss and a little stuffing. Just 3 simple embroidery stitches is all you need. And! I have some handy embroidery stitch how-to videos you can peruse if you’re feeling a bit rusty!

Check out the profile view! After the embroidery we whipstitch the front and back together then I have a special trick for adding the legs! I love the dimensional effect.
Ornaments like this are great for using up scraps and combining different colors of felt and floss to make yours unique!
If you’re not yet a member of the 2018 Holiday Stitch-along Ornament Club you can still join! The club runs until the end of the year. You can read the FAQ page about the club here.
If you’re looking for Supply Packs, they’re officially SOLD OUT! I offered more than other years and they still sold out in one week. If you’re totally bummed out about that, email me and let me know if you’re interested in a Felt Pack for the club. While I can’t put together more full supply packs with all of the trimmings, I might be able to create some packs of felt for those that missed out! Let me know!
