Wool Hexi Stocking Pattern Betz White

I’ve got such a fun, festive pattern for you, just in time for holiday decorating! The Wool Hexi Stocking is made with candy colored wool hexagons. I’ve got an efficient way of assembling them, without all of that tricky Y-seam piecing that can be such a headache.

The secret is fusible interfacing! Once the hexagons are arranged in the shape of the stocking you just fuse and zigzag. Easy peasy! The result is so rich and textural, you’ll love it.

Wool Solids Fat 16ths + 8th

I’m currently carrying Fat 1/16th wool stacks in my shop, originally for my Patchwork Llama Pillow Pattern. But guess what? It’s the perfect bundle for making a Wool Hexi Stocking as well! The extra Fat 1/8th (shown above in Scarlet, also available in Turquoise and Navy) is just the right amount for the cuff and then some.

The stocking is lined with quilting cotton. I used a white Swiss dot on red but there are so many cute holiday themed prints out there that would be fun inside as well. And what about some personalization? I think embroidering a name on the cuff would be adorable and maybe a date too. Of course some yarn pompoms or tassels would be fantastic details to add on!

The pattern for the stocking is now available in my shop as well as the wool stacks with 3 color options for the cuff, Scarlet, Turquoise or Navy. Let me know if you’d like to see something else!
