Betz White Snow Star red

Introducing the Snow Star! Every year I try to include some sort of pretty snowflake-y star type ornament pattern into the club. I really love playing with layers of felt, reverse appliqué and origami-ish techniques. I think I may have covered them all with this design!

You’ll be surprised at how simple it is to create texture and dimension with a few snips and stitches! The touch of embroidery and tiny jingle bells add a little shine. I made this ornament double sided so it looks great from all views.

Here’s the other side! This pattern requires the use of a sewing machine, sharp scissors and a couple of basic embroidery stitches. I’m going to experiment with some different color combinations too.

If you’re not yet a member of the 2018 Holiday Stitch-along Ornament Club you can still join! The club runs until the end of the year. You can read the FAQ page about the club here.

I’d love to see what you’re making! Use the tag #holidaystitchalongornmentclub! Or post your finished ornaments in the Facebook Group. Hope you’re having fun making!
