Presenting the next design in the Lil’ Felt Village Make-along Club! We’re kicking of the seasonal town of Autumnville with The Schoolhouse!
Nothing says “Fall” like back-to-school, am I right? I just couldn’t resist adding a little red schoolhouse to our growing collection of fabulous felt buildings.
My inspiration for Autumnville is represented in this photo collage. To me fall is all about textures and layers, a deepening color palette (with some brights to pop it!) and a feeling of anticipation for things to come!
The Schoolhouse is design #7 in the club and the first design of Autumnville. Each season, members of the Lil’ Felt Village Make-along Club get full instructions for 3 designs, revealed one at a time. So far we’ve completed Springville and Summerville, a total of 6 sweet little buildings. The seasonal collections look adorable together, especially when lit with tiny battery powered tea lights! I can’t wait for you to see what else is coming this fall!
I had so much fun designing all of the little details for the Schoolhouse: the shingles, the clock, the belfry and of course the dangly little bell!
If you’re not a member of the Lil’ Felt Village Make-along Club you can still join! We are just getting started with Autumnville this week! No need to feel “behind” if you haven’t made Springville or Summerville, you will have full access to them to make at your leisure in the future. Plus you’ll get Winterville coming in November!
