I’ve got a new embroidered appliqué pattern to share with you this week. It’s called, Love Wins!
I’m offering the Love Wins pattern to you for free when you make a donation to a charity of your choice that supports the black community. I’ve donated to Black Lives Matter, Campaign Zero, and ACLU and I’d like to encourage you to do the same.
Just email your donation receipt, dated from any time in May 2020 onward, to [email protected]. It can be for any amount and I will email you the pattern. You won’t find the pattern in my shop, it’s not for sale.
There is so much listening and learning to be done. I want to take the time to examine my own biases and evaluate how I can help moving forward. Donating is just a start. Educating myself and my loved ones is ongoing. I know I will make mistakes along the way and I will do my best to correct and learn from them as well.
About Love Wins: The pattern incorporates 3D felt appliqué techniques and basic embroidery stitches. The pattern includes written instructions, templates, illustrated stitch guides and links to my how-to stitch videos. The felt I used is 100% wool called Bellweather, from Benzie Designs.
