I received such a great response to my Handcrafted Collection last month, I decided to create more!
This time, in addition to a few more Pineapple style “keepers”, I’ve made a limited amount of sweet little birdie keepers!
Keepers are functional pieces of fiber art that “keep” your stuff! Great for stashing thread and snips, trinkets and treasures, jewelry, you name it! The lid can even be used as a pincushion.
Each keeper starts with a vintage hand carved wooden bowl that I’ve sourced second-hand. Next I use a punch needle and gorgeous wool rug yarn to create the fiber art lid. Then I finish off the lid with a thick felt backing the rests inside the edge of the bowl. Each is unique and one of a kind!
Speaking of pincushions, I also have these mini flower pincushions in the shop. The centers are punched wool, surrounded by thick felt petals, nestled in a tiny wooden bowl. (Not removable, like the keepers)
