Introducing Storybook Stitching: A Visit from St. Nicholas!

A Visit from St. Nicholas (otherwise known as ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas!) is a heartfelt favorite. It’s the perfect Christmas tale for my new online class, based on a classic storybook and its main character.

Storybook Stitching felt book class project

In this online class, we’ll create a holiday heirloom, a hand stitched keepsake book box.

The cover is layered with felt appliqué. It’s embroidered and accented with glittery details, depicting a snowy scene of a little cottage tucked in the woods on Christmas eve.

Storybook Stitching Santa Ornament

Inside the book we’ll create a magical scene! A pre-printed lining portrays a cozy room, awaiting the arrival of St. Nicholas, with the words, ‘Twas the night before Christmas…

And of course we’ll make a jolly ol’ St. Nick himself! He’s got special furry felt trim, metallic floss accents and glitter felt boots! He’s adorable adorning the tree, displayed on a shelf or tucked into the book.

In A Visit from St. Nicholas, I’ll take you through the construction and embellishment of the felt box and ornament. Every detail will be outlined with photo tutorials and video lessons in my online classroom. The class is self-paced but I’ll be available for assistance whenever you need it.

holiday class felt kit

A Visit from St. Nicholas  includes a jam-packed kit of festive felt, glittery floss, the illustrated fabric lining panel (designed by me!), and special details you’ll need to create the project. You’ll even have the opportunity to choose your Santa’s skin tone: light (as shown) medium or dark!

The class and kit are now open for pre-orders at a special Early Bird price of $170 through September 16th, a $25 savings over regular price. After September 16th, purchasing will only be an option as long as kit supplies last.

Kits will ship from my Upstate New York studio October 1st! Lessons will be available October 17th, giving you plenty of time to craft at your leisure before the holidays are in full swing.

I hope you’ll join me, it’s going to be so fun to make!
