Few words today (I’m saving them for this)…mostly pics
Cherry Blossom season began in DC.
We endured the crowded metro to go into the city for some flowers and art. Sunny day!
Boys observe art…and become it?
Hanger sculpture at the Hirshhorn
and back home to a few pre-April showers…
beautiful!
How was your weekend?
These yellow flowers are precious. Who does not like spring? If there´s someone, he´s mad. Regards
OH my how beautiful everything looks! It looks like you had a great trip!
I’d hate to make you homesick, but in Madison we still have patches of dirty snow, it’s 38 degrees, and flurries are in the forecast for tomorrow. We’re at least a few weeks away from daffodils!
So beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful photos, I loved kids at museum!!!
Have a great week!
Cherry Blossoms in DC? We just got 4″ of new snow yesterday. Where are my Cherry Blossoms? I want my Cherry Blossoms…or atleast a tulip or two.
That photograph of the daffodils with water droplets is amazing! I like the one where the kids become part of the art too.
I’m right there (literally) with the other Susan who commented. I am downright jealous.
Love those polka-dotty sneakers. You are so cool, Betz.
Hi Susan(s),
Don’t be jealous! I will envy you in a few months when you are enjoying a beautiful Wisconsin summer….I’ll have a solid 4 months of heat humidity and bugs to contend with.
I must savor this now…hope you don’t mind me sharing it! 🙂

Hi,
I think your pictures always come out great. I am researching for a new camera as I am tired of my crappy pictures. Would you mind telling us what kind of camera you use and if it is a Dslr would you mind telling us what lenses you use?
Thanks!!
Thanks Lauren!
I use a Nikon Coolpix P5100. I’ve been using it for about 4-6 months and I have not read the manual yet! I have just now been experimenting with depth of field. Anyway, I do like the camera but I’m sure I’d be better off reading the manual.

This is my first time commenting! Your Blog is great. Thanks for the great pictures of D.C. in the spring. This is the only time of year I miss living there. Now we are in MA, where nothing is green until the end of May. Enjoy!
I love your blog! And I am jealous for numerous reasons. A). You live in DC, I love DC. B). You have Daffodils, Tulips, etc… C). There are absolutely no Cherry Blossoms where I live, at all! Also a favorite. I live in Arizona…so the heat kills most everything. We are enjoying 80 degree weather now (for the last week 1/2). That means it’s really going to be hot this Summer!
Love the flowers…really brighten up everything.
oh…I caught u on Martha Stewart today. u look great and the teacups are really cute and easy to do.
On our little island, the show is shown about a year later than the actual broadcast in US.
What gorgeous pictures 😀 love em, Carm
Oh I love the picture of the boy looking at art!!! LOVE that!
Just a quick note to say how much I loved your photo (closeup) of the two daffodils with rain or dew drops. So beautiful, so inspiring.
Thanks for this little bit of Spring.
So glad you made it down to DC for the CB Fest! Thanks for sharing your photo’s since I didn’t make it down this year. It’s my favorite time of year in DC. I totally agree about the Daffodil shot, it’s spectacular!
Looks like a wonderful gallery, I love the Hanger sculpture, and the second one with the boy. Hooray for spring!
what is the name of the exhibit the child is sitting in with the mobiles
i will be in DC next month and i would love to catch that show
