Are you getting tired of this color palette yet? I’m not! It’s funny, last week I was just talking about needing a stripe or an appliqued graphic *pop* to round out the daybed (ahem) area of my new studio space. The very next day I received 3 BIG boxes from my publisher, North Light Books. The boxes were full of all the projects I designed for my upcoming book, Warm Fuzzies. My *babies* have returned home! And wouldn’t you know it, this felted throw adds just the right touch. It was one of the first projects I did for the book. I made it so long ago I had kind of forgotten about it. I’ve been dying to give you all a little sneak peek of the book, so here’s a snippet of one project! The book development process has been a test of my will power. To be inspired, design new stuff, and then not be able to post it all over the blog…torture! I really like to share. 🙂
Hmmm, now, what’s this soft little batch of cashmerey goodness? (you could tell it was cashmere, couldn’t you? You’re so perceptive…) Well let me see. Nope, nope, can’t tell you. Top secret and all. I know, I said I like to share. But this is the beginning of a project for my next book!
Yup. Here we go again!
Wow, great news! Congratulations on the new book deal!
I love those colours – so perfect for this time of year. I can’t wait to see what you do with those gorgeous blues too :o)

Love your felted throw. I’ve been wanting to make something like that and seeing your gorgeous design is a real inspiration.

Are they bunnies???? I hope they are. Your cashmere bunnies are soooo nice… I want one. AND the pattern, too. 🙂
The throw is wonderful! Thanks for the “peek”, I bet the book will be fabulous!
That is so beautiful.
How do you sew your seams together without them stretching?
Beth Anne,
This particular throw was sewn with lapped seams and straight stitched. Just go slow, don’t stretch the fabric, and steam the heck out of your seams! 🙂
