This cozy corner of my studio is ready to be transformed into a guest room. When my parents come to stay, we pull out the couch and set them up in here. Sometimes it’s hard for me to step away from my creative space for a few days but I know it’s good for me to take a break. Things are particularly tidy for a recent studio photo shoot, but that’s a story for another day.

 

 

Are you ready for the holidays? It makes no difference because they will come no matter, they always do. There are still cookies unbaked and presents yet to wrap, but it will come together. My kids have commented that it just doesn’t feel like Christmas. Is that the weather (mild and rainy), lack of holiday movies (we’ve only watched Elf so far) or not playing enough Christmas music? Was it the fact that one of them had the flu? Now that they are teens, have they lost the wonder? Maybe a little. It is different from the early years with the build up to Santa. But we still have our traditions, our advent calendar and our jack horner pie. What do you do to make it feel “more” like Christmas?
