I’m so excited to share with you a brand-new product that I’ve been working on for the past few months. I’ve developed a fun little pom-pom maker I’m calling the Llama Lloom™! My first crafting tool!
As you may have noticed from my recent fabric collection, Juxtaposey, I’m a little ga-ga over llamas lately. And since I also have a passion for making pom-poms, why not combine them into the cutest pom-pom maker ever??? Each loom is made of 1/4″ laser cut oak and is nice and sturdy.
Pompoms are super fun to make and only require the loom, yarn and scissors! Each loom comes mounted on a card with illustrated instructions on the back. Finished pompoms measure about 2-1/2″ in diameter after trimming.
Perhaps you’d prefer a kit to get you started? I’ve got you covered! Each kit comes with a loom, instruction card, and a skein of 100% wool yarn, packaged inside an adorable drawstring project bag. Does that fabric look familiar? It’s from my Juxtaposey fabric collection with Riley Blake. Project bags come in 2 color ways and each have 2 colors of yarn to choose from. Both the single looms and the kits are available in my Etsy Shop now!
There are so many fun things to do with pompoms! They’re great accents on hats, scarves and bags. I love them on the corners of pillows, the edges of blankets or strung as a garland. If you’d like some ideas to get you going, check out my Pompompaloosa Pinterest board for inspiration!
In the coming weeks I’ll share some tips on making your pompoms rounded or shaped, multi-colored, striped, dotted, etc. Also, my secret weapon for fluffiness (using wool yarn and steaming them!). In the meantime, be sure to follow along on Instagram with the tag #100daysofbwpompoms for your daily dose of POM!
What a great idea! I used to make pom-poms with a fork but this looks like way easier on the hands (and way cuter).
Me too! Forks make tiny pompoms, these are bigger! 🙂
Cheery and Cute, shared with my knitting group from School of Wool.
